Crystal Fiber Manufacturers Briefly Discuss the Advantages of Polycrystalline Mullite Fiber in Heating Furnace
In the face of increasingly fierce market competition and rising raw fuel prices, energy consumption accounts for an increasing proportion of product costs. How to effectively use resources and energy, reduce energy consumption and achieve sustainable economic development is an important issue to be discussed.

crystal fiber
crystal fiberThe manufacturer states that the polycrystalline mullite fiber is a polycrystalline refractory fiber in the form of a mullite crystal phase. It is chemically formulated based on the formation of single-crystal mullite (3Al2O3 · 2SiO2). It is made of soluble aluminum salt and silicon salt by high temperature after the completion of the crystal phase transformation. The production process is the viscous colloidal solution at low temperature spray spinning, the formation of fibrils, and then by high temperature firing, the fiber internal atoms orderly arrangement, the organization crystallization, the removal of metastable glass state., The use temperature is increased by nearly 300 ℃. The heat resistance of the fibers increased with increasing Al2O3 content. When the Al2O3 content is more than 72%, the use temperature may exceed 1400°C. The phase diagram of the aluminosilicate refractory fiber Al2O3-SiO2 is shown in Figure 1. There are different shapes, loose fiber cotton can be used as a high temperature part of the interlayer filling material. Scattered cotton can be made into plates, felts, bricks, preforms, modules, etc. by wet vacuum forming. Crystal fiber manufacturers pointed out that because polycrystalline mullite fiber has low heat capacity, low thermal conductivity, low bulk density, good heat sensitivity, strong radiation ability and other characteristics, is the rolling furnace with high efficiency, light, energy-saving materials.
1. Improve the service life of furnace top and burner brick
crystal fiberAccording to the manufacturer, after the polycrystalline mullite fiber is pasted on the inner surface of the furnace roof, the direct scouring of the furnace roof by the furnace gas is improved, and the rapid cooling and heating of the furnace roof are buffered. Cracking and spalling of the material. The heating furnace of the strip steel plant has been put into use since March 2005. Except for a few small cracks on the top of the furnace, the overall condition is good. The service life of the furnace top can be extended to more than 5 years, saving the maintenance cost of the furnace top at least 800000 yuan. Due to the characteristics of regenerative combustion technology, the air after heat storage has a great damage to the burner bricks.crystal fiberThe manufacturer stated that the burner bricks are pre-formed technology or cast-in-place technology, which is difficult to repair and replace. If the polycrystalline mullite fiber is pasted on the surface of the furnace brick, the erosion of the flame on the furnace brick can be reduced and the furnace brick can be effectively protected. After the self-adhesive fiber, only a few small cracks appear in the burner brick after 2 years of use, and the service life can be extended to more than 4 years.
2. Increase radiation heat transfer and reduce heat loss
The heat transfer mode in the high temperature zone of the heating furnace is mainly radiation heat transfer, and the furnace gas, the furnace wall and the heated billet are radiative heat exchange with each other. The blackness of the furnace wall is generally 0.8, and the blackness of the polycrystalline mullite fiber is 0.95. Under the same heating conditions, after the polycrystalline mullite fiber is pasted, the increase of blackness enhances the heat radiation in the furnace. In addition, the heating speed of the billet and the heating capacity of the furnace are improved. Under the same furnace conditions, the gas consumption is reduced after the polycrystalline mullite fiber is pasted. According to observation and statistics, the unit gas consumption of the heating furnace is 1.04GJ/t and 0.98GJ/t respectively within one month before and after the maintenance of the heating furnace.
