What is the manufacturing process of polycrystalline fibers?

polycrystalline fiberProducts can be used for a long time silicon carbide furnace, silicon molybdenum furnace, all kinds of steel heating furnace, mechanical forging furnace and other high temperature heat equipment below 1600, can greatly improve the thermal efficiency of the equipment, greatly save energy, improve work efficiency, improve product quality.

Polycrystalline fiber has the characteristics of low heat capacity, small thermal conductivity, and large surface area. Related knowledge is: pasting on the inner surface of the lid can effectively convert the sensible heat of the gas into strong radiant energy, so the polycrystalline fiber is used as the insulator of the lid. It can not only insulate heat, but also save energy. The heat insulating radiator with polycrystalline mullite fiber as the cover has remarkable energy saving effect.

polycrystalline fiberIt is a high-performance inorganic fiber composed of mullite microcrystals. It has the characteristics of high temperature strength, creep resistance, thermochemical stability, low thermal expansion coefficient, low thermal conductivity, high modulus and so on. Polycrystalline fiber is widely used in metallurgy, machinery, ceramics, electronics, building materials, petrochemical, aerospace and other fields. In addition, the development of polycrystalline mullite fiber has a good infrared technology radiation, insulation, noise, oxidation resistance and oil resistance.

The sol-gel method is one of the main methods for preparing polycrystalline mullite fibers. At present, the preparation of fibers with polycrystalline cassiterite surface by sol-gel method mainly consists of raw materials which are mostly expensive metal pure salts. The production cost of the process with pure metal salt as the main raw material is high, the equipment requirements are strict, the process control is difficult, and it is difficult to realize large-scale industrial production.

What is the manufacturing process of polycrystalline fibers?

polycrystalline fiberThe preparation method is characterized by the following steps:

Using water as solvent, aluminum powder and AlCl3 as raw materials, a colorless and transparent polyaluminum chloride and sol were obtained. Add acidic silicon, add additives, vacuum concentration, remove part of the free water, to obtain viscous precursor sol. The precursor fiber was obtained by the clumsy car method, and the polycrystalline mullite fiber was made after drying and heat treatment of the obtained precursor polycrystalline fiber.
