What is fiberboard?
FiberboardIt is woven from cellulose fibers, using its inherent adhesive properties. Binders and/or additives may be used in the manufacturing process.

Fiberboard, also known as density board, is made of wood or other plant fibers and coated with urea-formaldehyde resin or other suitable adhesive. Binders and/or additives may be used in the manufacturing process. The fiber board has the advantages of uniform material, small difference between longitudinal and transverse force, and not easy to crack. The production of 1 cubic meter of fiberboard requires 2.5 to 3 cubic meters of wood, which can replace 3 cubic meters of wood or 5 cubic meters of wood. The development of fiberboard production is an effective way to realize the comprehensive utilization of wood resources.
FiberboardThe disadvantage is that there is a mesh structure on the back, resulting in unequal surface areas on both sides of the board. After moisture absorption, due to the different expansion force, the board warps and deforms; the hard board has a hard surface, difficult to nail, and poor water resistance. Dry fiberboard avoids some disadvantages, but the cost is higher.
China's fiberboard production began in the 1970 s, developed in the 1980 s, and only started in the 1990 s. Since the beginning of the 21st century, the production of fiberboard has increased significantly. In 2005, it exceeded 20 million cubic meters once and reached 49.54 million cubic meters in 2011.
With the rapid development of China's economy, the process of urbanization is accelerated, the product quality is stable, the level of environmental protection is high, and different needs are met. Fiberboard products with safe flame retardant function have a broad market space. In the future, the rapid development of my country's real estate, furniture, interior decoration, packaging and other industries, as well as the rapid production of finished raw material bases, and the growth of industrial timber forests will drive the steady growth of fiberboard demand and exports.
Generally divided into non-compression type and compression type according to product density. Non-compressed products are flexible fiberboard with a density of less than 0.4g/cm3; compressed products include medium density fiberboard (or semi-rigid medium density fiberboard, density 0.4-0.8g/cm3) and medium density fiberboard (density greater than 0.8g/cm3). According to the molding process of the slab, it can be divided into wet fiber board, dry fiber board and directional fiber boardFiberboard. According to different processing methods, it can be divided into natural fiberboard, fiberboard and oil treatment. Soft fiberboard has light weight, large porosity, good heat insulation and sound absorption performance, and is often used as a covering material in public buildings. After special treatment, a lightweight fiberboard with more pores can be obtained, which has adsorption properties and can be used to purify the air. Medium density fiberboard has uniform structure, moderate density and strength, and good reworkability. The product has a wide range of thickness and a wide range of uses, such as furniture materials, TV shell materials, etc. The thickness range of cardboard products is small, between 3 and 8mm. High strength, 3~4mm thick hard fiber board can replace 9~12mm sawing sheet. Mainly used in construction, ships, vehicles, etc.
